with?
All of our authors are independent developers.
What type of code do you accept?
I bet you have some indicators or code laying around that can be
re-packaged to sold to the general public... things you've done for
yourself over time. As long as it is not restricted in some way
(i.e. proprietary custom project), we'll take it.
Will I be involved in sales or support?
You stay shielded from the general public regarding the code you
send us. You do not have to deal with setting up licensing or
support.
Who handles
support?
The NinjaTrader Indicator Warehouse staff will handle licensing
issues and Level 1 support (installation and "how to" questions).
Occasionally, we may need to contact you for Level II issues (bugs,
feature explanation)
What if a bug is reported for my code?
If a real bug is identified, it will be reported to you
immediately. The indicator in question will be removed from the
site until a fully functional version is available to replace it.
How is my code protected?
All indicators are sold as encrypted code. When we receive an
indicator from one of our authors, it has already been compiled into
a DLL. Encrypted in the code is a reference to our Vendor Name:
IndicatorWarehouse. In addition, the code references our website URL
and support e-mail (license@IndicatorWarehouse.com). When a customer
purchases an indicator, they are prompted to send us their machine
ID. We then assign them a license via our NinjaTrader Vendor module.
How do I know how much has been sold?
Currently, we run reports every month from our shopping cart
application and cut checks, accordingly. In the future, you will be
able to login to a website and see your current and historical
sales. But, for now, it is based on an honor system.
Honor system?
One of my business mentors once said to me you either do everything
on a handshake or nothing. I'm a handshake person. The bottom
line is this... if you are not making money, you will not
want to continue with us. The trading vendor world is a small one...
reputation is everything. Over time, you will learn we are very
easy to work with. We see ethical business practices as, not just
good business, but simply the right thing to do.
How much money can I make?
The sky's the limit! Every time an indicator you created is
purchased, you earn 50% of net sales.
How do you determine your pricing?
First the rationale: The assumption is that all indicators "work"
and don't work. By that I mean, it's really more about the trader
than the tool. This phenomenon lends itself to an on-going quest for
the next best thing. To use a Gold Rush analogy... We are selling
the picks and shovels to the prospectors.
Our price points are designed to create a "no-brainer" impulse buy.
Novice traders (and some seasoned) will drop $99 in the blink of an
eye because they hope it will make them $1000's. Even if you
typically charge more for your work, because of the anonymity of our
model, your brand and established rate is not impacted. This is a
build once, sell many times model.
Note: All of our indicators are sold as closed code. If a customer
wants the open source code, we give you option of charging a premium
(i.e. 3x retail).
What if I don't agree with the pricing of my indicator?
Prices are set at the sole discretion of NinjaTrader Indicator Warehouse and its
staff. This is to promote stable and consistent pricing. If you feel
your indicator was unfairly priced (high or low), please contact
support and state your reasons clearly and succinctly.
Why don't you do trials?
Instead of a trial we offer a
risk free money back quality guarantee on all our indicators.
We guarantee the quality of our software products. In order to
qualify for a refund, the user is required to supply the following
within the first 30 days after the purchase date - explicit details
describing a defect ("bug") in the product and how the code did not
mechanically function correctly.
Note: Failure
to trade successfully using the product does not constitute a defect
in the product. Deciding they do not like the product does not
entitle them to a refund.

How do I start
selling items?
To sell items on IndicatorWarehouse.com you must first be approved
by the site owner, Adam Halpern.

Once I am approved, what is the process for getting my indicator
on IndicatorWarehouse.com?
We will send you the Indicator Submission Template and instructions
for preparing your code for submission to the site.
Tell me more about the Indicator Submission Template?
The Indicator Submission Template is used to standardize information
needed for putting your indicator into the NinjaTrader Indicator Warehouse
(Indicator title, description, etc.).
How long does it take for an indicator to be approved?
NinjaTrader Indicator Warehouse strives to maintain a fast approval process for
its authors. Usually code will be approved within two days, but
occasionally an influx of indicators will mean the approval process
will be slightly longer. We will notify once your indicator has been
loaded onto the site.
What if some of the descriptive information on my indicator was
changed during the approval process?
During approval and upload process, indicator descriptions may be
modified to maximize their value proposition.
How often do indicators get reviewed and can they be removed
without my permission?
Should we find an indicator becomes outdated or has outlived its
usefulness we will remove the indicator and provide you with 30 days
notice. We do this to keep NinjaTrader Indicator Warehouse library current,
clean and up to date.
How do I request to remove indicators and what happens when I do?
If you wish to remove your indicator, send us your request in
writing via e-mail. Once you have opted to remove the indicator, it
will continue to be displayed for sale for 30 days. After 30 days
the indicator will be removed. You will continue to earn the usual
percentage of any sales that take place during this time.
What rights am I giving to purchasers?
If you sell on IndicatorWarehouse.com, purchasers of your indicator
are given the right to use your indicator without paying any further
fees or charges after the initial download cost. They may freely use
your indicator in whatever way they choose with the exception that
they cannot resell it.
